About ISFE

Building stronger organisations for a stronger future in sport.

ISFE was created from a simple belief: sustainable sporting success begins with capable, trusted and well-led federations.

From federation review to international framework.

The original concept was a structured review across seven important areas of federation performance. As the methodology developed, the opportunity became clear: sport needed a common, evidence-led language for organisational excellence.

The result is the ISFE Seven™ Framework — designed to support assessment, improvement, benchmarking and, in time, broader recognition of federation capability.

Our purpose

To help sports federations become stronger, more sustainable and better equipped to serve athletes, members and communities.

Our belief

Strong governance creates strong organisations. Strong organisations create successful sports. Successful sports inspire nations.
